The film tells the story of Adile Naşit, who breathed the magic dust of the stage at a young age and defied the odds of time and life with her laughter, setting her own rules.
The daughter of a theater actor, little Adile falls in love with the stage during her childhood spent in Direklerarası. When she wanted to try her luck in cinema, her physical appearance did not fit the beauty norms of Yeşilçam; she was excluded from cinema despite her extraordinary talent. Adile was never chosen for a leading role in theater either, but she managed to win the leading role in the hearts of the audience with her smile.
The most beautiful and most challenging role in her life was motherhood. Her son Ahmet's short life is the longest and most painful story in Adile's life story.
“Adile Naşit” brings to the silver screen, through the writing of Nermin Yıldırım and the lens of Çağan Irmak, the prejudices, unwritten rules, invisible efforts of women, and trials of motherhood in the art world during a certain period, accompanied by emotions that will be much talked about and remembered.
